Last week this iguana decided to take up residency in our backyard. We were happy to welcome him (her?) and I only had one request…that he allows me to photograph him. He has been a great model and very patient (at times staying in the same position for hours on end).

With the arrival of my new Elinchrom Ranger lights, Brigitte volunteered to pose for me. She has been asking for a while for me to take some photos of her in the outfits that she has made. The pink crochet hat in today’s photo is the latest of Brigitte’s creations.

It arrived! I received my new Elinchrom lighting equipment this past week. I asked Max to pose for a few shots and he was only to happy to oblige. He was a absolute joy to work with as he was fascinated by this new bright light that kept going off. It made for just a wonderful photo.

Brigitte loves knitting and has created a number of beautiful outfits. However, living in the Cayman Islands she and Mimi do not have that many opportunities to wear the outfits. Nevertheless, every so often Mimi and her get together and model some of the new outfits so Brigitte can share her creations with family and friends. This Sunday was one of those days and I was enlisted as the photographer.

Today’s photo was taken in July 2007 when Max, our German Shepherd Dog, was approximately 6 months. We rescued Max from the Oakville Humane Society in April 2007 and he has been absolutely a perfect dog.

Yesterday I posted a photoshopped photo of Lee as Dorian Gray. Personally, when I view a finished product, I would also like to see what the photo looked like before. Accordingly, today I have posted the original, untouched, photo for you to see along side the finished product.

A few months back Paul Aiken challenged everyone in the Cayman Islands Photography Club to recreate a movie poster. I was unfortunately unable to do so at the time but thought it was a great project for when I had some time.

Fast forward to Christmas 2009 and I had 4 days off which I spent a significant part expanding my Photoshop knowledge. One of the items that I produced is today’s photo of Lee.

My inspiration came from the Dorian Gray movie that was released 09.09.09.

Just like Thursday’s photo of Janet, I couldn’t resist posting this photo of Steve. Steve, who is a great landscape photographer, was hamming it up for the camera. To add to the look I used a f/1.2 aperture.
