After the ceremony we were taking photos are the iron shore.  There was an area of sand which we wanted to shoot in, but as seen in this photo, it was a bit of a rough walk to get into.  The Groom, being the gentleman he is, picked up the Bride and carried her over the rough area.

This photo was taken shortly after the ceremony as the Newlyweds took a few moments to relax on the beach and enjoy the moment. Simone and Pierre both looked absolutely radiant and extremely happy together. I wish them all the best.

This photo of Pierre was taken after the wedding ceremony as he was enjoying his a glass of champagne and talking to friends and family. I have discussed this before, people take absolute great photos when you are not posing them. One of the things I try very hard to do is to blend into the background and let people forget that I am even there taking photos.

I have seen it happen before, no matter how much you plan, sometimes that ring just will not go on very easily. I love Simone’s face expression as she “slides” the tight fitting wedding ring on.

I absolutely love this photo of the Maid of Honour with the happy couple in foreground. This photo was taken during the ceremony as I was given the opportunity to walk around during the ceremony (one of the benefits I have previously discussed about weddings held outside).

This weekend was the first time in four months since my accident that I used the camera for more than a couple of minutes. I was fortunate to be asked to photograph a lovely beach wedding between Simone and Pierre on the Governor’s beach on Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands.

I hoped you enjoyed the photos this week from the Cayman Islands wedding of Eric and Haydee. Today’s final photo of Eric and Haydee is one of them enjoying each others company on the balcony. I Earlier in the week I was talking about how I prefer wedding photojournalism which is an alternative approach where images are captured spontaneously to emphasize moments and emotion. This is a good example of a photo that could be staged. And we actually tried a few posed photos. However, I find the Bride and Groom just don’t relax. So I excused myself and let Haydee and Eric carryout a conversation and I went into the adjoining room. I then started to take photos of them interacting. I find, as in this photo, you can capture so much emotion when they forget the photographer is there.

This photo was taken on Haydee’s wedding day about an hour after the beach side service. She was staring into her husband’s eyes with such a peaceful, blissful look.
